Tia (Some Odd Girl)

My favourite character from SOG stamps is Tia, she is so cute!

Here are 4 cards I made today with stamps I bought in the flash sale yesterday (aka the day Christmas came early!);

I think my fave card is the first one with a purple theme, I coloured the sentiment with promarkers but they didn't blend very well on the glossy paper type.

My fave stamp is the second "mail day tia", it is the first time I have really done a background for a stamp.

Some Odd Girl Competition

I have entered the following in the SOG "bright" challenge held today as part of their facebook fun day!

I loooove their stamps (and bought quite a few today when it was 45% off!!!)

I have coloured candis with promarkers up the side to match the colour scheme and embellished a random ribbon cut with "thank you"

Some Odd Girls

So in the short period I have been stamping and colouring I have fallen in love with Some Odd Girl stamps!

They are so cute and quirky and I love colouring them with promarkers and then making different cards with them.

I have included below the ones I have done that have not been already blogged.

Crafty Boots is one of the few UK retailers of SOG stamps (and the cheapest!).

Plus, any delivery comes in the cutest packaging!

Marbling

So last night the very talented Stephanie Emma taught us marbling!

It involved shaving foam, alcohol inks, and lots of fun mess!

The results are below, and I have already used one for a card!

The girl is a Some Odd Girl stamp, and the two Candi embellishments are "gold wedding" coloured with promarkers (Candis bought from Crafty Boots). I kept the card simple so the marble backing stood out.

New Cards

Tonight I needed to chill out so I made three new cards!

The first and last stamps are tiddly inks (so cute!) and the middle is Some Odd Girl, all have been coloured with promarkers. All papers and embellishments are from my "random" box.

I can's decide if I like the first card but I love the backing paper so much. It is also the first time I close cut a stamp (shows how new I am to stamping and cards!)

I love the paper flowers with brads, I use these on many projects!

But my fave is the final girly pink card :) Pink card, girly stamp, glittery paper, and a pink bow, perfect!

Monday 14 May 2012

I am entering the following card in the latest Crafty Boots Challenge which has the theme "Good Luck",

Hopefully it brings me good luck :)

This month two friends got engaged so I made them a congratulations card.

I coloured the stamp to look like the actual couple and used a pearl pen in the corners.

The stamp was coloured with Promarkers.

As well as cards I love scrapbooking.

This was how I got into crafting and I think they are a beautiful way to remember events/trips etc.

Below are pages from my childhood scrapbook.

I like the page to reflect the photo, so for example in the first one the purple bunny embellishment matches the purple bunny jumper.

The to be continued page uses my favourite sticker letters, they are called "Princess Letters".

The rest are some of my favourite pages from the book.

Hello blogging world!

This is my first blog and to get the ball rolling here are some cards I have made this last week.

I have only been making cards for a week or so, and I have been scrapbooking for about a year (examples of this to follow!).

If you like what you see like us on Facebook, search "Daisies and Poppies".

These cards below are Lili of the Valley stamps and random embellishments;
